I just finished and loved Wendell Berry's The Long-Legged House, a collection of essays. See here for my ever so slight review with excerpts.

Now I am hoping to quickly consume Cormac McCarthy's The Road so I can then chomp into and savor Nicholson Baker's sure-to-be-controversial Human Smoke. Early reviews are compiled here for those who are interested. And I expect that interest in the book will explode quickly.
