Counting Down
3 days to go.
In the meantime, Summer and I moved, drove to Delaware, spent a bit of time in Oregon, and prepared just about everything for the big day. Pretty crazy, eh? For most people who read this, I think, I can't wait to see you soon! And of course I am looking forward to the festivities and most of all the marriage itself.
For a brief trip into my normal content, Summer, Matthew, Sarah, and I saw Bodyworlds 3 at OMSI. Definitely, definitely worth seeing when it comes to a city near you. Our visit was enhanced by The Human Body on Omnimax. All in all, an enlightening day.
I also finally finished The Handmaid's Tale, and read Wicked. Probably there have been some more books in the nearly a month since I've posted, but I can't remember. Nor can I recall the movies I've seen. Now I'm in a book slump (excitement-induced?), though I'll be visiting Powell's tonight, and getting my Harry Potter in time for the flight home. I downloaded what claimed to be a leaked copy, but it turned out to be a fake. Alas. Maybe I will see the new movie soon; Sarah and I have been trying to find a time to see it, but between the busyness and shared cars, no such time has yet emerged.
The past month has also featured some nice visits with old friends, including some much-needed and much-appreciated help moving. Good times, all, and crazy ones.
Tomorrow all the dresses, tuxes, and whatever else needs picking up will be picked up. Saturday the festivities start. And then it'll be Sunday...exciting!
Monday, we head off to the coast for a few relaxing days.
The next time a post appears here, it will have been typed by a finger bearing a ring.
