R.I.P. Laveranues
I seem to have killed our poor frog Laveranues. He came into Summer's and my lives in November 2004 and enraptured us with his love of killing his piscatory companions and dancing to hip-hop. He accompanied us from Minnesota to Delaware to Rhode Island, providing, if nothing else, his own uncomplaining physical presence. Last night I took it upon myself to replace his dirty water with clean; lacking a jug of spring water, I boiled tap. There must have been some chlorine or other toxin still latent in the water, because this morning, L was gone. Farewell, Laveranues. You will be missed.

Alas poor Lavernues... My heartfelt and deepest sympathy to the surviving members of the Allen-Greene family.
I always thought it was amusing how Lavernues seemed to enthrall certain kitties.
He did have personality, he really did. I am sorry that he is gone. I had never seen one like him before. On the path to the boat on Friday I saw one of his relatives, only one. Later there will be dozens of dot size little ones hopping to escape us (I have a haiku on the subject). So, my condolances to you all...N
