another something

I have been assigned for the Law Review survey of state cases to write about In re Kayla N [pdf]. This is an apt assignment because I worked this past summer with the unit whence came one of the case's lead attorneys (who is a great person), and I recall the day when a piping hot copy was plunked on my desk for me to read. I know the law fairly well, so parsing the case is no issue. Expect further commentary, and that thoughts akin to those I may have shared with you regarding my summer experience will now achieve a somewhat broader audience. The difficulty will be presenting these thoughts in as objective a light as possible, but I strive for rationality and therefore imagine that the difficulty in constraining myself thus will not be too severe.
