Here is something I've been working on. Comments about the organization itself notwithstanding, any feedback? I know there's plenty to improve upon, but feedback from someone who's not me is always good.
Looks basically good...in a very quick read through of the first page, there are two things that stand out as potential problems...one is you say "several events in the weeks to come, which you can see listed to the left." but there is nothing to the left on my screen..I see things above, but nothing to the left. The other thing is "protect important human rights, consult the links to the right". I see links above, but nothing to the right. I will look at it more thoroughly later, but these are my initial thoughts. Mom
I've fixed the blog and the main page and will get the other two when I get home. Any other comments? Someone from school suggested a sans serif font, which I'm all for, and might also implement soon...
Anyone have any idea why there's the extra space between the two headers on the blog though?
The blue on black was taxing on my eyes. The font size for the links across the top of the page was too small (though I do have notoriously small resolution on my laptop screen).

I thought I had it working in IE but apparently I don't. Argh.
