Purgatory Chasm

Yesterday my classes ended and we had some people over then went to a bar which was ok.

Today we went to Purgatory Chasm in Sutton, MA. The weather was somewhat cold, but the sun was bright and the rocks were big and good for climbing on.

Here's Summer in the chasm:

Here are big rocks with trees growing in them(!):

When we were done in the chasm, we tromped around in the woods:

The sky on the drive home was about as beautiful as I've ever seen sky. The clouds off to the west were edged with brilliant yellow, while those off to the wast had a similarly brilliant rose fringe. Gradually the sky turned to a pink-blue-yellow gradient, and then we went to the grocery store.
