PAPERS:
A bit annoying, but less so when handed in.

INDIAN FOOD:
Delicious. Always delicious. Tonight? We used the Entertainment Book to cheapify a delicious meal of a vegetarian appetizer sampler, a sampler of six naans, and delicious peppered duck with figs and hazelnuts and a crazy mashed potato patty and roasted green peppers for me. Did I mention it was delicious?

MOVIES:
March of the Penguins ****
As if penguins weren't delightful enough just by virtue of being penguins, every shot in this movie is beautifully constructed. From close ups of fluttering feathers to antarctic landscapes to panning shots of melting ice, March of the Penguins is beautiful AND heartwarming.

The Thing **1/2
Alien takes over Earth creatures and turns them against each other as well as attacking them from various hideously mutated forms. Better than it sounds, but still a bit spotty.

Amores Perros ***1/2
A good movie. Lots of dogs, illegal dog fighting, yet another contract killer, and a car crash that involves all of the above with a beautiful model. It's all woven together quite nicely, until the end, which I think tries to make some sort of point.

Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the WereRabbit ***
Charming as expected. Humor for kids and grownups alike. Science gone horribly wrong, and claymation vegetables. I don't know, it's fun.

OTHER PREVIOUSLY FORGOTTEN MISCELLANY:
Factory of Terror
The scary people kept going for Summer, not me! Go figure. Either way, the decor was pretty fantastic, some legitimately scary, and the experience was a good one.
ACLU
I continue trying to put together a debate radio show for next term and some public service announcements relating to ACLU cases and causes for this term. I was also recently elevated to a position on the board, which will likely result in my attending a dinner with the Rhode Island chapter in two weeks.
Eagles
At least my fantasy team keeps on winning. I'm planning on starting Eli Manning over Donovan McNabb this week in hopes that it will telepathically spur Donnie and the Birds to a strong performance. Otherwise thank goodness I don't get cable. Seriously, though, if the Eagles lose to the Redskins, that will be a bad, bad sign. I at least think they're better than that.
