hi there
i'm in delaware.
my parents came to providence this weekend, and we had good times. on saturday we went to the rwu campus and then to newport which was awful and crowded so we went back to the mainland and up north to providence. i had a really good burger along the way.
then my dad was feeling under the weather so he took a nap and my mom and i went garage sale/secondhand shopping, and came back with two kitchen chairs, a gliding rocker, a bedside table, and a stand for the phone in the hall. so that was really good, too.
when we came back i set up the desktop and tested it with my neighbor totoro, which we stopped halfway through to go into east providence for delicious portuguese food at solmar. it was really really delicious, actually. i even liked the clams.
after that, we went to my new kohl's, where there were lots of purchases, and then to the grocery store, where there were more. unfortunately, coffee filters were never among the purchases, so sunday morning we had starbucks for breakfast.
the night before, of course, i'd talked to summer and watched the end of the movie.
then today my parents took me to other home. i've not been doing too much yet, though tomorrow (in addition to getting sushi with my dad and hopefully seeing lz before she is a permanent north carolinian kindergarten teacher) i should put more time into cleaning my ex-room. today i've mostly been trying to figure out returning-to-providence plans and copying music from family members and that sort of thing.
my mom finished fixing my crotch-hole jeans, which makes me happy also. they are quite comfortable.
i'm glad to be in better touch with people lately. i hope i can keep it up through other busyness. i'm getting mildly nervous about holding down my job at the same time as school; hopefully they're as flexible as they said they were. i am looking forward, as i always mention, both to the company that will be visiting next weekend, and to the permanent company with whom i'll be sharing the apartment come late august.
