Decisions, decisions...

I thought it would be prudent to let you know that I have written a check and prepared an envelope for Roger Williams University, and Summer has prepared an envelope for Brown University, both of which will be sent tomorrow. Rhode Island, prepare yourself. I, for one, am excited. "I'm excited," I say.

In the meantime I have received plenty of rejections from jobs major and minor, have received word that an extra $150 of repairs--replacement of the motor mount, I believe--are necessary for the Bonneville, which puts my projected net worth (undergraduate debt notwithstanding) at $50 upon graduation. This is exciting, too, albeit in a different sort of way.

In following one lead for a potential job, I found myself at a kindergarten in town this morning at 8, helping kids primarily with reading and writing. As of now I cannot be paid for the position, but I will almost certainly be going back for the remainder of my Tuesday mornings in Northfield. Little kids are just so adorable. Also I will be looking into the payment situation a bit more tomorrow hopefully.

This evening I attended a panel on transgender issues. It was not especially enlightening, as I'd heard most of the material before, but some aspects were still new to me. Plus people's individual experiences can take such a variety of forms that it is always interesting to hear about them.

In track news I've returned to the glide method of shot putting and that seems to be working out alright, plus I PRed in discus at the meet this past weekend, and am looking to do so again next meet. I had a throw in practice yesterday that could potentially have scored me a conference spot (depending on the strength of the competition this year), so I'll be looking for another of those in a meet situation.

I'm sure there's plenty more I could tell you, be it about transitions or Louis Armstrong or Vergil or Van Orden v. Perry or sunburn, but my night is young workwise, so I should get back to it.

In just a few days Summer and I will have been together for a year. What a fantastic year it's been...

Whew, you guys made a tough decision, but, from my perspective a good one. Being free from debt is a real gift to yourself when you are starting out. I am so excited!!!!!!!! Love is a treasure and while delightful takes hard work...as a "lover" I am very happy that you have found yours. I am off for my colonoscopy, icky yesterday and more to come! Guess who!

So, from Delaware, the 2nd smallest state, to Rhode Island, the smallest state. Both of these states could fit into Minnesota many times over.
Yet they have two distinct kinds of chickens.
I really don't want to acknowledge this comment. Congratulations on RI.

Congratulations in making a decision (I'm envious right now)! I was thinking that you would probably end up in RI, and I think that will be a good place for you. Now, sit back, relax, and enjoy the rest of senior year! Remember that although you will be able to see Summer for the next however many years, you have only 9 (or 8 for non-seniors) weeks left with the rest of the Carleton people.
