Weekend Etc.

This weekend I had fun. Friday I can't say for sure what happened during the day because it's all blanked out by karaoke in the evening. I sang my heart out doing renditions of Alanis Morrisette's "You Oughta Know" and Minnie Riperton's "Lovin' You" (which I'm sure you all know I love dearly), then did a duet with Summer of the B-52s' "Love Shack," a duet with Lauren of the song "Brandy" which I completely didn't know, and finally a solo version of the Presidents' "Lump." It was spectacular, and I also got to witness some nice performances by my companions, who were more enthusiastic this time around.

Saturday I watched football some, tried to play racquetball and tennis with Lauren and Andy, and then had a date night with Summer which included delicious Las Delicias burritos, HoBros ice cream, and a viewing of Garden State.

Sunday there was more football, this time a more thrilling game which I managed to watch with some Vikes fans at the townhouse; I tried not to be insufferable. I look forward to this weekend's games. Later Sunday there was a long grocery store trip with Summer and Cristina, a late dinner, Desperate Housewives, piano practice, and eventually a visit with Lauren here in Allen house which included fine dining and conversation.

Monday is a large portion of our etc.; it entailed reading for class, lunch, a fun and engaging class period, my first not-awful track practice of the season, dinner, Fun Time with Laveranues, Geoff's practice comps talk, piano practice, homework and a smoothie in Sayles, and now my pretending to do homework here in my room.

I want to start hearing from more schools soon. Everyone else seems to be getting interview offers; I'm a bit jealous of those getting flown out to California away from the negative temperatures here.

I should get back to work. Sometimes the brain just doesn't want to do that sort of thing. Ah well.
