law schools
With 4 of 10 precincts now reporting, the numbers are decidedly favorable. I've been accepted to the following, with renewable full scholarships to the first two:
Roger Williams University (Bristol, RI)
Chapman University (Orange, CA)
Northeastern University (Boston, MA)
University of San Diego (San Diego, CA)
Lest you worry too much about those first two (which have rapidly shot up in my personal rankings), they've existed for an aggregate of about 20 years, and are both on their way up. This spells decisions; I hadn't expected to be getting money quite like that. Leaving law school with only my debt from Carleton is mighty appealing...

Congrats!!!!!
Indeed! Your thoughts are wise.
Looks like your collecting a good choice of locations. Congratulations. I thought your picture page looked Ok with its rather eclectic collection of pictures. GP
Congrats! I've been to Roger Williams and I have to say that it is totally gorgeous! RI as a state is also pretty cool. I think either of those two choices would fit you really, really well. Weather-wise both are goregous...it's just do you prefer weather you grew up with, or sunny California. You'll be near the ocean either way. Had I never actually been to RW before I'd say go for California any day, but seeing since I can actually make an informed decision here, I think that RW would be great too. Actually, I think you'll like it better.
I'm all for going with the school that gives you good money, especially when the school also offers good a good program. Ultimately the education you get will be what you make it (and I happen to think that you'll get just as good an education regardless of where you go), but the less debt you have the more options you have when you get out of school. And options, my friend, I am learning to really appreciate over here...
Again, congrats! I think you'll make a fine lawyer. Just dont forget about me when you're this hip law dude and I'm in need of help protecting my fur babies from becoming illegal!
oops, i should have probably signed that last comment about RW being a great school and about having less debt being a good thing. sorry! well no you know
mel :)
