I had to read "A Civil Action" for my hydrogeology class. Better than any textbook, anyway. We were also required to watch the movie. I believe it has John Travolta in it. THE MOVIE IS AWFUL. Whatever good impression I had of the book was completely gone by the end of the movie's first hour. I would suggest bypassing the movie, if you have not watched it yet.
