Of Football
Although the local Fox affiliate assured me last week that it would be broadcasting the Eagles game today, it seems to have changed its mind and elected instead to show an infomercial. I would much prefer to have seen TO's long touchdown receptions, Westbrook's running, and Lito Sheppard's various big plays. Ah well, at least I've been able to gleefully observe the stats continuing to accumulate.
Speaking of Fox letting me down, I still haven't been able to dig up so much as a quote from that O'Reilly Radio Factor. Alas, you may just have to deal with a calm, cool, and collected Max for a bit.
The weekend has seen housecleaning, homework, time with Timmy and Delphina and Summer's grad folk, The Life Aquatic and The 40-Year-Old Virgin (both worth seeing, in my estimation, the latter somewhat surprisingly so), and chilling out. Probably the rest of the afternoon will see some combination of football and homework, the latter dominating the after dinner hours.

A good day for the Eagles, the Seahawks, the Scirish, and the Touchdowns! :)

Poor Cecily (Diesel Benzes) has been relying on Daunte Culpepper, who somehow managed positive points this week despite throwing 5 INTs. The Strident Lizards' GM Adam Smith happens to be in Australia, so that's his excuse.
Incidentally, the Scirish and the Touchdowns don't face off until Week 7, at which point current trends seem to indicate that those two teams and the Colorado Parsecs will be fighting for the top spot. Although if two games were enough to indicate a trend, the Scirish would be gaining approximately 50 points per week, which would mean 390 points. Or they could be fitted to an expontential curve rather than a line, which I won't even bother to figure out. I wouldn't bet on either scenario.
Hopefully I'll be coaching Alex (The Losers) into a playoff-viable candidate as well one of these days...look out Andy (Klondikes) and Taylor (JP Deuce Lives); without any coaching (or indeed, as far as I know, any attempt at doing anything at all), he's nearly doubled his Week 1 score, and could come away with a Week 2 win, depending on the play of DeMarcus Ware and Deuce McAllister tonight.
Oh, and speaking of Daunte Culpepper, one has to wonder how Mr. Willett feels having observed the dismantling of his preferred team at the hands of the team preferred by Ms. Lewis, Ms. Soli, and Ms. Allen...
Ouch. Hey, at least it wasn't 42-3.
